I forgot to mention it. Remember that group I made in place of my deleted baby from a year ago (a year ago on June 8th!) called HP_Recs? I used to run it with lunarennui, if you weren't in fandom then.

Anyhow, Last night I went back to it after practically abandoning it maybe... 5 months ago (the last time I paid it any attention was the day greeksong drew me the chibi H/D), which was quite a while ago. So, I went back and found it had landed on 800 members!

I actually remember when that happened to HP_Recs way back when. :) It's a fond memory, it was always the magic number on yahoo, the one that told you your little baby had grown up. So when HP_Recs hit it I was elated. To see it again, after all of that struggle, looking well and back on it's feet... that definitely puts a bright spot in my day.

So, yesterday I redid its front page layout (I actually like it), and I redid the welcome message and files and links section. If I have time tomorrow night, I'll be doing the photos section and coding a listing of recs. What a lovely surprise.

Anyway, again. hp-recs. :)

Yes! I loved it. Adored it, even. I absolutely loved Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. ( mild PoA spoilers you may not want to see )

I feel great. I just feel this renewed faith in the fandom I once was so entirely infatuated with. I'm finding myself thinking just a bit about nipping back into the SS/HP old fandom fics just to remember why I liked the ship so much over two years ago.

I'm also excited about the prospect of really enjoying my fandom again. I have been completely forgetting myself and my reason for being here in the first place. These books come first. Fandom isn't supposed to be about... fandom. It's supposed to be about Harry Potter. So I've made myself a promise I cannot break, now that I have put it in writing -- no matter what happens, I am here for Harry , Hogwarts, not for the essays or the newsletters or even the fanfiction. I'm here because there is really no book I would rather read then Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

So there. Back to my fandom. Back to me. One of my favourite people, luciusmalfoy, reminded me of why I joined fandom so many years ago just last night with her fantastic post on 40 old fandom questions you really would have to have experienced to know the answers to. Check it out, it was loads of fun. A bit of the old lot (do you remember gutterbunny, kick flaw, kissaki, jocetta or starkiller anyone?) showed up to try and answer those silly questions. You might learn/remember something. ;) <3 Lib.

Oh, as well. I'm quite happy to be taking on as a bit of help for Sarvi's PSA as a fic reader/rater in coming weeks. I'll really enjoy doing that. As well, I've taken on December 19 - January 25 at hp_qotd. Sure, quite a way away, but I'm still really looking forward to it! You should join up as well.

Ah, the happiness I feel. :)

P.S. I've started coding my recs site again. :o To anyone who used to read them, yay! I'm a little shocked myself, but I think it's in order right about now.

There was a really stalkerish post on my beloved dominic_daily just a moment ago from a woman in her 30's who had actually gone up to Dom's hotel room, knocked on his door and tried to talk to him while he was on the phone. She had a play out of the conversation and everything.

My fuck. It just freaked me out and it's things like that that are going to turn just some regular guy we love (who'll walk right up to El and put his arms around her) into someone reclusive and wary of his own fans. =/

So, being me and annoyingly modly, I ran over to nefer_tari and convinced her to delete the post. That comm is great, I hate to see it involved in anymore wank at all. <3 Nef.

I stole the song I'm listening to. :D But it's ok, I went out and paid for my copy of Permission to Land (The Darkness) this morning.

I've had a hell of a week home-wise. Just stressful and hectic and I haven't had very much time for fandom at all. Neither of them. But, if fandom is what matter's, beloved Bobbi (boobie_tassels) has come on as a mod at domgasm with the girls and I. Go and friend her if you haven't already. ;)

I'm a little hopped up right now because I've been making iced capuccino's all fucking day long. They taste something grand but make me woozy inbetween! The mam is gone for the weekend and so I ordered Japanese in. Except, like, then my best friend dropped in unexpectedly and I haven't seen her in over two months -- she surprised me by moving 2 miles from me when she had previously been living a good 45 miles from me just 3 days ago. :))

I was so excited I forgot that I was in my tanktop and wee boyshorts (oh mah gah!) and ran outside to meet her new boyfriend Travis. Long story short, the best friends new boyfriend "loves" Needle. Dammit. -.- Meh. At least I can amuse.

She ended up eating all of my sushi, stuffing me into my ho skirt (ummm... short and red) and forced me out with her. D00d, I don't party. Honestly. I don't like being on someone's arm, you know? And that's how it is most of the time. But then I actually had fun. :D I ended up dancing at some other chica's house with Jolene -- weirdly, someone I knew in 7th grade who is now so, so pretty! :o It's so weird when the quieter girls in highschool turn out to be the opposite. Am back now, if you can't yet tell. :D :D :D
